Meetings take place at Columbia's Steakhouse, Downtown Lexington, on the first Tuesday of each month - 6:30 pm.
The address is 201 North Limestone, Lexington, KY 40507. It is about half a block north of the Fayette County Courthouse. There is parking on the street in front, as well as a parking lot. To reach the lot, drive past Columbia’s and turn left onto 2nd street and the lot is immediately on your left.
We have a great line-up of programs and speakers guaranteed to educate and interest you in the sport of fly fishing. If you are an avid angler who cares about conserving, restoring & protecting our local fishing resources, we invite you to come to our monthly meetings to see how the Bluegrass Chapter is making a difference. Help us preserve Kentucky's beautiful coldwater fisheries.

David Barron, he is a guide at Jacquish Hollow Angler Guide Service in Alaska. He will be taking us thru some beautiful scenery of the Alaskan wilderness and some huge trout, salmon and native Alaskan wildlife.

December 6
Come join us on December 6th at Columbia Steakhouse to hear Gerry McDaniel divulge all his secrets(hopefully) of the lower Cumberland River. Gerry is the author of "The Guide of the Lower Cumberland River" a comprehensive laminated book full of information and detailed maps covering the River. He also holds the current fly-fishing world record for Striped bass in the 12 lb IGFA tippet class, which by the way was caught on the Cumberland. He will share with us access points for wading as well as put ins and takeouts along the River, as well as some of his favorite fishing techniques for Trout and Striped bass. Gerry is very "in the know" about the dam work and will let us know about the most recent developments and what the future holds for the river(surprisingly positive) If you are trying to figure out the Cumberland this is a must attend program.

Gerry McDaniel - he published the laminated map of the Cumberland River. He will be giving us a users perspective of the river and access to hot spots along it.

Matt Braughler/Whit Foshburg
Matt and Whit are both with the National TU in the Coldwater Conservation Fund area. They will be speaking about conservation opportunities for our membership across the US and within our state. They will be providing our chapter with area fisheries that we can participate with them in either cleaning up, or restoring to enhance the waterway to sustain trout.

The August 3rd meeting of Bluegrass Chapter Trout Unlimited will NOT be meeting at Columbia's Steakhouse. Instead we are going to be enjoying the great outdoors for our summer picnic at Jacobson Park. We have once again obtained the shelter lake side in Jacobson Park. We will again this year have a casting contest, talks on local waters, knot tying & entomology. The club will provide the meat. Bring lawn chairs, drinks, and a covered dish that you would like to share. Bring your significant other and as many guest as you want. This is a very good time to bring someone new into the chapter. The atmosphere is great for good conversation, lies and big fish.
